Governor Fletcher Reappoints Member to the Northern Kentucky Convention Center Board
Paul Hemmer Jr. to continue service on board
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has reappointed Paul W. Hemmer Jr., of Lakeside Park, to the Northern Kentucky Convention Center Corp. Board of Directors.
Hemmer is the president, chief executive officer and chairman of Paul Hemmer Companies. Earlier this year, the company was recognized as the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber Small Business of the Year.
Hemmer is a member of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and its Board of Advisors and has served as a board member of the Cincinnati Museum Center, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, the Diocesan Childrens’ Home, the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce, the Japan/America Society of Kentucky and Leadership Kentucky. He is past president of the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers and former chairman of the Northern Kentucky United Way and the Northern Kentucky University Annual Fund Drive.
Hemmer holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in civil engineering from Purdue University. He is married to Mary Hemmer.
The Northern Kentucky Convention Center Corp. Board of Directors is made up of seven members, three of whom are appointed by the Governor. The board is responsible for managing and developing the Northern Kentucky Convention Center.
