Governor Fletcher Reappoints Member to the State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors

William Danks represents state funeral directors association on board

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has reappointed William L. Danks, of Beaver Dam, to the State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors.

Danks, a 50-year licensed embalmer and funeral director, is president of the William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.  He is the director of the Kentucky Funeral Directors Burial Association and past president of the Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky, which he represents on the board.

The State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors is made up of five members appointed by the Governor.  Four members are licensed embalmers and funeral directors, and one is a citizen at large.
