Governor Fletcher Reappoints Member to the Northern Kentucky University Board of Regents
Current NKU board chair to continue service
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has reappointed Martin C. Butler, of Edgewood, to the Northern Kentucky University (NKU) Board of Regents.
Butler is a partner in the law firm of Strauss and Troy LPA, practicing in the firm’s Covington office. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Thomas More College and a juris doctor degree from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at NKU.
Butler is a member of the Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, Kentucky and American bar associations. He has served as a member of the advisory board of Southbank Fund, a subsidiary of Southbank Partners Inc., which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalizing distressed communities in northern Kentucky. He is the current chair of the NKU Board of Regents and is married to Sandra M. Butler.
The NKU Board of Regents is made up of eight members appointed by the Governor and three other members, including a teaching faculty representative, a nonteaching employee representative and the student body president.
