Real estate appraiser to serve remainder of current term

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed Michael E. “Sam” Skaggs, of Smiths Grove, as Edmonson County property valuation administrator (PVA).

Skaggs is a real estate appraiser for Andrew Parsley and Associates in Glasgow.  He is a member of the Kentucky Association of Farm Managers Rural Appraisers Board of Directors and the Edmonson County Cattlemen’s Association.  He received a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from Western Kentucky University and holds a certified general real property appraisal license.  He is married to LaNetta Skaggs.

The PVA office has been vacant since the retirement of Benton Cowles.  Skaggs will serve the remainder of the term in accordance with the provisions of Section 152 of the Kentucky Constitution.
