Governor Ernie Fletcher Appoints Member to the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed Dr. Eric S. Peterson, of Lexington, to the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners.

Peterson is a veterinarian with Equine Medical Associates in Lexington.  He received a bachelor’s degree and a doctor of veterinary medicine from Colorado State University.  He is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association and the Bluegrass Sportsmen’s League.  He is married to Kimberly Peterson.

The Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners is made up of eight members appointed by the governor, and the Commissioner of Agriculture or his designee.  The board regulates and controls the licensing and conduct of veterinarians within the commonwealth.
