Governor Fletcher Appoints Members to the Kentucky Center for School Safety Board of Directors
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed Joseph Robert England, of Cynthiana, and Susan W. Jordison, of Mount Vernon, to the Kentucky Center for School Safety (KCSS) Board of Directors.
England is retired from the Kentucky Department of Vehicle Enforcement. He served as the first cabinet level homeland security/counter-terrorism coordinator for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the department level coordinator for the Kentucky Department of Vehicle Enforcement. He is a current member of the Harrison County Board of Education, the Kentucky School Boards Association, the National School Boards Association and the Kentucky Commissioner of Education’s Local School Boards Advisory Committee. He is married to Vickie L. England.
Jordison is a homemaker. She received a degree in administrative management from Eastern Kentucky University. She is a member of the school councils for Rockcastle County Middle and High Schools. She is married to William Lloyd Jordison.
The KCSS was established in 1998 by the General Assembly to create safe, secure learning environments in Kentucky schools. The KCSS is the center for data analysis, research, allocation of information about successful school safety programs, research results and new programs. The KCSS Board of Directors is made up of 12 members, seven of whom are appointed by the governor.
