Governor Fletcher Appoints Marion County Judge-Executive
John G. Mattingly accepts appointment
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed John G. Mattingly, of Lebanon, as Marion County Judge-Executive. As a write-in candidate, Mattingly won Tuesday’s race with more than 53 percent of the vote.
Mattingly replaces David Hourigan, who is deceased.
Mattingly received his bachelor’s degree in agriculture education from Murray State University and his master’s degree in education from Western Kentucky University. Mattingly taught in the Marion County school system for 24 of the 27 years he spent as a teacher. He is married to Janet Thomas Mattingly.
