Governor Ernie Fletcher Appoints Member to the Advisory Board for Veterans Affairs
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed John Thomas Brame, of Hopkinsville, to the Advisory Board for Veterans Affairs.
Brame served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He is retired from state government, where he oversaw the Office for Surface Mining’s regional location in Madisonville. He attended Austin Peay University and is the commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1913 in Hopkinsville. He is married to Timmie Brame.
The Advisory Board for Veterans Affairs is made up of seven gubernatorial appointees. The board advises the governor and the commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs on matters relating to veterans and the administration of veterans services programs.
