Governor Ernie Fletcher Appoints Members to the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Massage Therapy
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed two members to the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Massage Therapy.
Denise Marie Logsdon, of Louisville, is the director of massage education at Spencerian College. Logsdon received a bachelor’s degree in physical education and attained her adapted physical education specialist certification and teaching credentials from California State University Long Beach. She is also a graduate of the Fuller School of Massage Therapy in Virginia Beach and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
Carmen S. Fowler, of Bowling Green, is a massage therapist and the owner of Associates of Massage Therapy. Fowler is also a part-time instructor for a massage therapy program at the Natural Health Institute in Bowling Green. She received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Western Kentucky University and graduated from the Middle Tennessee Institute of Therapeutic Massage. She is a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.
The Kentucky Board of Licensure for Massage Therapy is made up of seven gubernatorial appointees. The board is charged with creating guidelines and regulations for massage therapy licensure and evaluating qualifications of all licensure applicants.
