Governor Ernie Fletcher Appoints Members to the Kentucky Commission on Community Volunteerism and Service
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed four members to the Kentucky Commission on Community Volunteerism and Service.
DeAndre McGinnis Mitchell, of Richmond, is the CEO and president of Premier Mortgage Group, Inc. Mitchell received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo. He is a member of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers, the Kentucky Association of Mortgage Brokers and the Lexington Chamber of Commerce. He is married to Carla Mitchell.
Carol Sue Daniels, of Danville, is a retired school principal. Daniels received a bachelor’s degree in education from Pikeville College and a master’s degree from Morehead State University. She is married to Paul Daniels.
Steve L. Swim, of Salt Lick, is the director of AmeriCorps for Morehead State University. Swim received a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology and a master’s degree in vocational education from Morehead. He is married to Rhonda Swim.
Frank Patrick Hargadon, of Waddy, is a farmer and insurance agent for Farm Bureau Insurance. Hargadon is serving consecutive terms. He has been a member of the commission since 2000.
Mitchell, Daniels and Swim are new appointees to the commission.
The Kentucky Commission on Community Volunteerism and Service is made up of no more than 25 gubernatorial appointees. The commission actively engages citizens in community service opportunities that enable volunteers, organizations and businesses to share ideas and effectively collaborate to address Kentucky's needs. The commission has continued to expand its range of programs and services to the commonwealth through AmeriCorps, Learn and Serve and professional development grants to fund conferences and training.
