Governor Ernie Fletcher Appoints Member to the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed Anne Policastri, of Murray, to the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.
Policastri is a pharmacist and the vice president of support services for the Murray-Calloway County Hospital. She received a bachelor’s degree in pre-pharmacy from Western Kentucky University, a doctor of pharmacy from the University of Kentucky and a master’s of business administration from Murray State University. She is a member of the United Way of Hopkins County Board of Directors, the Kentucky Lake Sailing Club, the American College of Healthcare Executives, the University of Kentucky Alumni Association and the Kentucky Pharmacists Association.
The Kentucky Board of Pharmacy is made up of six gubernatorial appointees. The board was established to promote, protect and preserve public health, safety and welfare through effective regulation of the practice of pharmacy. The board is charged with evaluating and approving the qualifications of those who apply to be licensed as certified pharmacists within the commonwealth.
