Governor Ernie Fletcher Appoints Members to the Advisory Council for Medical Assistance
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed two members to the Advisory Council for Medical Assistance.
Ron Poole, of Central City, is a pharmacist and owner of Poole’s Pharmacy Care. He received a degree in pharmacy from the University of Kentucky. He is the president-elect of the Kentucky Pharmacy Association and board member of the American Pharmacy Services Corporation and the Muhlenberg County Board of Health. Poole also serves as a member of the Prescription Compounding Centers of America and the National Community Pharmacist Association. He is married to Lisa Poole.
Jennifer Johnson, of Dry Ridge, is the home-health branch director for Gentiva Health Services. Johnson received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Bellarmine University. She is a member of the Kentucky Home Health Association, the Northern Kentucky Council on Aging and the Northern Kentucky Elder Maltreatment Alliance. She is married to William Johnson.
The Advisory Council for Medical Assistance is made up of 17 gubernatorial appointees. The council advises the secretary of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and the commissioner for Medicaid services on the administration and operation of the medical assistance program.
