Governor Ernie Fletcher Appoints Members to the Governor's Commission on Family Farms
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed James N. Cook, of Morning View, and Jeanne Ellis, of Mount Olivet, to the Governor’s Commission on Family Farms.
Cook is a recruiter for Bluegrass Challenge Authority. He attended Morehead State and Liberty University and graduated from the Command and General Staff College of the United States Army. He is a member of the American Legion, Bradford Lodge 123 F&AM and the Kenton County Planning Commission. He is married to Kimberly Lehman Cook.
Ellis, a finance officer for the Robertson County Fiscal Court, attended the University of Kentucky. She serves as women’s chair of the Kentucky Farm Bureau District 9 and as a member of the Robertson County Health Tax Board and the Robertson Early Childhood Development Council. She is married to Keith Ellis.
The Governor’s Commission on Family Farms advises the Governor on issues of marketing assistance, diversification, labor assistance, urban and rural partnerships and infrastructure and market development for new crops and products.
