Governor Fletcher Appoints Commonwealth's Attorney for the 21st Judicial Circuit
Keen Winston Johnson accepts appointment
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed Keen Winston Johnson, of Mt. Sterling, as Commonwealth’s Attorney for the 21st Judicial Circuit covering Montgomery, Bath, Menifee and Rowan counties.
A graduate of Pikeville College, Johnson received his juris doctorate from the University of Kentucky College of Law. Johnson formerly served in the US Army Corps of Engineers Office of Council, and then held a private practice in Mt. Sterling before becoming the 21st District Judge from 1994 to 2002. He has since returned to private practice in Mt. Sterling and is an active member and Leadership Team member of Destiny Community Church in Lexington.
Johnson and his wife, Donna Johnson, have three sons and four grandchildren.
The appointment is effective September 1.
