Governor Fletcher Appoints Members to the University of Louisville Board of Trustees
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher today announced the appointment Rebecca Jackson, Jonathan Scott Blue and Ronald Dean Butt to the University of Louisville Board of Trustees, and the reappointment of Chester J. Porter to the same board.
“The University of Louisville in its mission to become a preeminent metropolitan university needs good trustees to guide and direct the institution,” said Governor Fletcher. “I appreciate the willingness of these four outstanding individuals to dedicate themselves to this cause.”
Jackson, of Louisville, is CEO of the WHAS Crusade for Children. Jackson received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Louisville. She previously served as CEO of rj Consulting in Louisville, as Jefferson County Judge-Executive, and as Jefferson County Clerk. She also serves as a community liaison and director of senior citizens programs at Highview Baptist Church in Louisville, as chair and founding member of Beta’s Blessings & Blessings from Beta Romania and as founder and director of Kentucky’s New Horizons. She is married to Ralph W. Jackson.
Blue, of Louisville, is a managing director of Cobalt Ventures, LLC. Blue received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Jewish Hospital HealthCare Services Board of Trustees, the Jefferson Community College Board of Directors, the Actors Theatre of Louisville Board of Directors, the Congregation Adath Jeshurun Board of Trustees and the Main Street Association Board of Directors. He also serves as an alumni career advisor for the University of Pennsylvania. He is married to Tracy Blue.
Butt, of Louisville, is a certified financial planner for ARGI Financial Group. He is a graduate of the College for Financial Planning in Denver and LaSalle University. Butt also attended the University of Louisville. He is a member of the Kentucky Chapter of Financial Planners Association, Greater Louisville Inc. and the National Planning Corporation President’s Advisory Council. He is married to Teresa Ann Butt.
Porter, of Mt. Washington, is a banker and attorney with Porter Bancorp Inc. Porter is a graduate of Campbellsville University and the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law. He is a member of the American, Kentucky and Bullitt County Bar Associations, and also as the chairman of the University of Louisville Foundation Board of Directors. He is married to Betty Wolford Porter. He is the current chair of the University of Louisville Board of Trustees.
