Governor Ernie Fletcher Appoints Members to the Madisonville Community College Board of Directors

FRANKFORT, Ky. - Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed Lisa D. Ramey, of Madisonville, and Sharie B. Frazer, of Marion, and reappointed Bonita M. Hatfield, of Marion, to the Madisonville Community College Board of Directors.

Ramey is a legal assistant. She attended Madisonville Community College and received a bachelor’s degree in interior design and business from Western Kentucky University.

Frazer is a teacher employed by the Union County Board of Education. She received a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and specialist degree from Murray State University.

Hatfield is an education resource specialist for West Kentucky Education Cooperative.  She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and a master’s degree from Murray State University. She is a member of the Crittenden County Coalition for a Drug Free Community, the Crittenden County Foster Care Review Board and the Clement Mineral Museum.  She is married to James T. Hatfield.

The members of the Madisonville Community College Board of Directors are selected from a list of three names submitted to the governor by the Madisonville Community College Nominating Commission. The directors are responsible for adopting and implementing an annual budget, approving budget requests and evaluating the functions of the school and the school’s staff.
