FRANKFORT, Ky. - Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed Phil F. Eason, of Ashland, Timothy England, of Fountain Run, Joseph H. Ewalt, of Lexington and John Jay Fossett, of Fort Thomas, to the Local Distribution Fund Oversight Committee.

Eason is an educator and the superintendent for the Ashland Board of Education.  He has degrees in education from Western Kentucky University.  He is a member of the United Way, the Rotary, YMCA Board of Directors and the Local Superintendents Advisory Council. He represents the Kentucky Association of School Administrators on the committee.

England is a pharmacist at Walgreens. He attended Western Kentucky University and Samford University and holds a degree in pharmacy.  He is a member of the Glasgow/Barren County Salvation Army Board of Directors and the Barren County Junior Achievement Board of Directors. He also serves as vice chairman of the Barren County Board of Education. England represents the Kentucky School Boards Association on the committee.  He is married to Valerie England.

Ewalt is an association executive for the Kentucky League of Cities.  He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and a member of the Kentucky Chapter National Brownsfield Association. Ewalt represents the Kentucky League of Cities on the committee.  He is married to Jo Ann Ewalt.

Fossett is the city manager for the city of Covington.  He holds a degree in journalism from the University of Kentucky and earned his juris doctorate from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. He represents the Kentucky League of Cities on the committee and is married to Barbara Fossett.

The Local Distribution Fund Oversight Committee is made up of nine gubernatorial appointees.  The committee implements, distributes and oversees funds from the gross revenues and excise tax funds and the state baseline and local growth fund.
