Barry D. Moore accepts 12th District appointment
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed Barry D. Moore as Commonwealth’s Attorney for the 12th Judicial District. The 12th Judicial District covers Henry, Trimble and Oldham Counties.
“Barry Moore’s years of experience in this office make him the perfect choice,” said Governor Fletcher. “His knowledge and experience are invaluable, and I appreciate his willingness to serve our commonwealth in this capacity.”
A lifelong resident of Oldham County, Moore received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky in 1979, majoring in political science and sociology. In 1984, he graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Louisville School of Law. He was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in 1984.
For the past 19 years, Moore has served as an assistant commonwealth’s attorney in the 12th district. He has also practiced law as a partner with Croley & Moore, PSC, since 2002, and he serves as chairman of the Mallory Taylor Foundation.
Moore and his wife, Jennifer, have two children. The couple has a 45-acre farm in Oldham County where they raise cattle and hay.
Moore replaces Roy “Kim” Snell, who recently passed away.
