Governor Ernie Fletcher Reappoints Members to the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Nursing Home Administration
FRANKFORT, Ky. - Governor Ernie Fletcher today announced the reappointments of Debra B. Finneran, of Prospect, and Dr. Manuel Lee Brown Jr., of Louisville, to the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Nursing Home Administrators.
Finneran is a nursing home administrator for the Masonic Homes of Shelbyville. Finneran received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Kentucky. She serves on the board of directors for the Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities Positions, the Kentucky Health Care Foundation and the American Health Care Association. She is a member of the Kentucky Association of Homes and Services for the Aged, The Fillies Inc. and the American Association of the Homes and Services for the Aged. She is married to Ben Finneran.
Brown is the medical director for Rehab Management Services Inc. He received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a doctorate of medicine from the University of Louisville. Brown is a member of the Kentucky Medical Association, the Jefferson County Medical Society, the American Medical Directors Association and the Kentucky Geriatric Society. He is married to Deborah Jo Brown.
The Kentucky Board of Licensure for Nursing Home Administrators is made up of 10 members, nine of whom are appointed by the governor. The board develops, imposes and enforces standards which must be met by individuals in order to receive a license as a nursing home administrator.
