Governor Fletcher Appoints Member to the State Police Personnel Board

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed Michelle B. Turner, of Lexington, to the State Police Personnel Board.

Turner is a transportation coordinator for Crimson Coal Corporation. She attended Lexington Community College and the University of Kentucky and is a member of the Lexington Coal Exchange.

The State Police Personnel Board is made up of four gubernatorial appointees. The board makes administrative regulations and provides open competitive fitness examinations to officer applicants, filling vacancies based on performance on the examination.
