Governor Ernie Fletcher Appoints Circuit Judge for the 4th Judicial Circuit
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher announced today the appointment of Susan Wesley McClure, of Madisonville, as Circuit Judge for the 4th Judicial Circuit. The 4th Circuit serves Hopkins County.
McClure replaces the Honorable Charles W. Boteler, who retired.
McClure has been domestic relations commissioner for the Hopkins Circuit Court in Madisonville since 2000. She previously served as an assistant Hopkins County Attorney and as a real estate and business law instructor at Madisonville Community College.
McClure received a bachelor’s of arts, master’s degree and juris doctorate from the University of Kentucky. She is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Kentucky Supreme Court Civil Rules Committee, the Hopkins County Drug Endangered Children Task Force, the Hopkins County Quality of Life Improvement Partnership and the Hopkins County Courthouse Construction Committee. She also serves on the Site-Based Decision Making Council, Rising Star Committee and Booster Club of James Madison Middle School in Madisonville. McClure serves on the board of the Donor of Hope in Madisonville as well. She is married to William Thomas McClure.
The appointment is effective immediately.
