Governor Fletcher Appoints Members to the Jefferson Community and Technical College Board of Directors

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed four members to the Jefferson Community and Technical College Board of Directors. They are:

Dennis Dayton Goff, of Carrollton, a real estate broker/auctioneer for Century 21 Atcher-Goff Real Estate. Goff holds a certificate in business management from Johns Hopkins University. He is a member of the Louisville Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. He is married to Kathy Goff.
 
Charles G. Bates, of Shelbyville, a partner for B&R Rehabilitation Center. Bates received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville and a master’s degree in business administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. He is a member of the Kiwanis Board of Directors. He is married to Sharon E. Bates.

Kevin S. Wardell, of Prospect, an executive for Norton Hospital. Wardell received a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master of science in administration from the University of California Irvine and a master’s degree in health administration from Duke University. He is a member of the Fellow American College of Healthcare Executives, the Rotary Club of Louisville and the American Hospital Association.  He is married to Linda Wardell.

Thomas H. Kelly, of Shepherdsville, the printing manager for Publishers Printing Co., LLC. Kelly is a member of the Bullitt County Chamber of Commerce, the Bullitt County Court Appointed Special Advocates and the Moore High School Graphic Communication Advisory Committee. He also serves as chair of the Bluegrass State Skills Corporation.

The members of the Jefferson Community and Technical College Board of Directors are selected from a list of three names submitted to the governor by the Jefferson Community and Technical College Nominating Commission. The board is responsible for adopting and implementing an annual budget, approving budget requests and evaluating the functions of the school and the school’s staff.
