Governor, First Lady Applaud Vote on Dating Violence Bill

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Steve Beshear and First Lady Jane Beshear issued this statement in support of today’s vote on the dating violence bill:

“We applaud the Senate Judiciary Committee for passing the dating violence act, which provides protections for people in dating relationships. This bill offers security and legal recourse for people affected by violence in close relationships, including juveniles. Kentuckians deserve the right to be safe in all their circumstances, and we encourage the prompt passage of this bill.”
