FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Steve Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Gov. Beshear has appointed Edward Douglas Miller as the 18th Judicial Circuit Commonwealth’s Attorney to serve until the general election on Nov. 2, 2010.

  • Edward Douglas Miller, of Cynthiana, is an attorney with Swinford & Sims, P.S.C., Attorneys at Law.  The appointment replaces Doug Wright, who is deceased.

Gov. Beshear has appointed John H. Corlis as Magistrate for the Sixth District of Bracken County to serve until the general election on Nov. 2, 2010.

  • John H. Corlis, of Brooksville, is the co-owner and operator of Brooksville Farm Supply.  The appointment replaces Perry L. Poe, who has resigned.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the Sue Conley as Magistrate for the Fifth District of Robertson County to serve until the general election on Nov. 2, 2010.

  • Sue Conley, of Brooksville, is a self-employed real estate broker.  The appointment replaces David Conley, who has resigned.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following as members of the Kentucky Sports Authority to serve for terms expiring Jan. 4, 2013.

  • Larry Gay, of Lexington, is an employment placement specialist with Dismiss Charities.  He represents at-large members.  The appointment replaces Wade Houston, whose term has expired.
     
  • William L. Schroeder, of Paducah, is a retired publisher.  He represents the fish and wildlife community.  The appointment replaces Charles W. Martin, whose term has expired.

The governor has reappointed the following members to the authority to serve for terms expiring Jan. 4, 2013.

  • Kathleen J. DeBoer, of Lexington, is the executive director of the American Volleyball Coaches Association.  She represents at-large members.
     
  • Louis Stout, of Lexington, is a retired teacher, coach, and the former Commissioner of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association.  He represents at-large members.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 32nd Judicial Circuit and District of Kentucky.

  • Jan DeLaney, of Ashland, is a registered nurse.  The appointment replaces Margaret A. Sampson, whose term has expired.  DeLaney shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2010.
     
  • Jesse A. Ross, of Catlettsburg, is retired.  The appointment replaces Kathy S. Felty, whose term has expired.  Ross shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2010.
     
  • Clarence E. Jackson, of Catlettsburg, is retired.  The appointment replaces Steven G. Stewart, whose term has expired.  Jackson shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2012.
     
  • Michael A. Salow, of Ashland, is an engineer with AEA, Inc.  The appointment replaces Anna M. Crawford, whose term has expired.  Salow shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2012.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 21st Judicial Circuit and District of Kentucky.

  • James D. Trimble, of Denniston, is a retired teacher and the former Menifee County Judge/Executive.  The appointment replaces Sheila A. Issac, whose term has expired.  Trimble shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2010.
     
  • John Kevin Tudor, of Mount Sterling, is a procurement forester with Domtar Paper Company.  The appointment replaces JoAnn Hodges, whose term has expired.  Tudor shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2010.
     
  • S. Norman Lansdale, of Mount Sterling, is the owner and general manager of City Cartage Company.  The appointment replaces Geneva B. Goodpaster, whose term has expired.  Lansdale shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2012.
     
  • Sherry K. Adkins, of Morehead, is a registered nurse and diabetes education coordinator with St. Claire Regional Medical Center.  The appointment replaces Wanda F. Back, whose term has expired.  Adkins shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2012.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following as members to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 44th Judicial Circuit and District of Kentucky.

  • Phillip M. Standifer, of Middlesboro, is retired.  The appointment replaces Judy Hume Parke, whose term has expired.  Standifer shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2010.
     
  • Curtis H. Yeary, of Middlesboro, is employed with Kentucky Mountain Steel.  The appointment replaces Denise Sharpe, whose term has expired. Yeary shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2010.
     
  • Mildred G. Knuckles, of Pineville, is retired.  The appointment replaces Sandra Griffin Wilson, whose term has expired.  Knuckles shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2012.
     
  • Larry F. Yeary, of Middlesboro, is retired.  The appointment replaces Jane S. Barry, whose term has expired.  Yeary shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2012.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following as members of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 37th Judicial Circuit and District of Kentucky to serve for terms expiring Jan. 1, 2012.

  • Scotty C. Fugate, of West Liberty, is a retired highway district administrative manager.  The appointment replaces Walter L. Franklin, whose term has expired.
     
  • David Roger Davis, of Sandy Hook, is a retired teacher.  The appointment replaces Timothy H. Prichard, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 2nd Judicial Circuit and District of Kentucky.

  • Deborah A. Edmonds, of Paducah, is a self-employed insurance salesperson.  The appointment replaces Cecelia W. Harper, whose term has expired.  Edmonds shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2010.
     
  • Barry A. Smith, of Paducah, is the president of Regions Bank.  The appointment replaces Tammee A. Murphy, whose term has expired.  Smith shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2010.
     
  • Debra S. Stone, of Paducah, is the product marketing manager for Computer Services Inc.  The appointment replaces Bruce B. Pope, whose term has expired.  Stone shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2012.
     
  • H. Gregory Waldrop, of Paducah, is the pastor of  Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church.  The appointment replaces Carolyn M. Thompson, whose term has expired. Waldrop shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2012.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following as members of the West Kentucky Community and Technical College Board of Directors to serve for terms expiring April 3, 2014.

  • Deborah A. Edmonds, of Paducah, is a self-employed insurance salesperson.  The appointment replaces Mary Lou Yeatts, whose term has expired.
     
  • Steven S. Grinnell, of Paducah, is a healthcare executive with Mercy Health Partners, Lourdes Hospital.  The appointment replaces Julie A. Thomas, whose term has expired.
     
  • Bonnie Lee Jones, of Grand Rivers, is retired.  The appointment replaces Nancy Susan Nelson, shoe term has expired.
     
  • Larry G. Kelley, of Wickliffe, is a self-employed real estate agent.   The appointment replaces Donald R. Mitchell, whose term has expired.
     
  • Shirley A. Menendez, of Paducah, is an educator with Livingston County schools.  The appointment replaces B.A. Hamilton, whose term has expired.
     
  • Jennifer Smith, of Mayfield, is a school administrator for Graves County schools.  The appointment replaces Robert R. Emerson, whose term has expired.

The governor has reappointed Bruce P. Brockenborough to the board to serve for a term expiring April 3, 2014.

  • Bruce P. Brockenborough, of Paducah, is the director of pupil personnel for Graves County schools.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Milly Hudson Diehl to the Commission on Human Rights to serve for a term expiring Sept. 12, 2009.

  • Milly Hudson Diehl, of Ft. Mitchell, is a community activist.  The appointment replaces Robert S. Peters, who has resigned.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Motor Vehicle Commission to serve for terms expiring July 1, 2012.

  • Doug Dotson, of Benton, is a used car dealer.  He represents used motor vehicle dealers.
     
  • Raymond H. Cottrell, of Guston, is a self-employed new car dealer.  He represents new motor vehicle dealers.
     
  • Josephine Shoop, of Lexington, is an auto executive with Frank Shoop Chevy-Buick.  She represents new motor vehicle dealers.
     
  • Charles J. Coldiron, of Somerset, is a self-employed auto dealer and restaurant owner.  He represents used motor vehicle dealers.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following as members to the Commission on Philanthropy to serve for terms expiring Dec. 15, 2011.

  • Terry S. Tolan, of Louisville, is the president of the United Way of Kentucky.  She represents United Way of Kentucky.  The appointment replaces Charlie W. Johnson, who has resigned.
     
  • Kristina M. Moster, of Cincinnati, is the senior community investment program officer for the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.  She represents the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.  The appointment replaces William Engle III, who has resigned.
     
  • Walter R. Coe, of Louisville, is the president of Kosair Charities Committee, Inc.  He represents Kosair Charities.  The appointment replaces Susan G. Zepeda, who has resigned.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following as members of the Governor’s Scholars Program Board of Directors to serve for terms expiring June 20, 2012.

  • Earl “Chip” Hamm, of Louisville, is an attorney with Hamm & Associates, PLLC.  The appointment replaces Stephen A. Trimble, whose term has expired. 
     
  • Eric G. Farris, of Louisville, is an attorney with Buckman Farris & Rakes, PSC. The appointment replaces Wesley Ray Fugate, of Louisville, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Clark D. Pergrem to the Bond Pool Commission to serve for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2012.

  • Clark D. Pergrem, of Richmond, is a self-employed coal operator and real estate developer.  He represents the Small Coal Operators Council.  The appointment replaces Paul Corbin, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Nicholas Patrick Cambron to the Executive Branch Ethics Commission to serve for a term expiring July 14, 2013.

  • Nicholas Patrick Cambron, of Philpot, is a commercial real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Realty Group.  The order is effective July 15, 2009.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following as members of the Kentucky Board of Social Work to serve for terms expiring June 21, 2013.

  • Jay P. Davidson, of Elizabethtown, is the president and CEO of The Healing Place.  He represents licensed clinical social workers.  The appointment replaces Wanda Jeannie Davis, whose term has expired. 
     
  • Janice K. James, of Lexington, is a social worker with the Hope Center.  She represents licensed clinical social workers.  The appointment replaces Smitty Moore, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Michael Mark Wasicsko to the Education Professional Standards Board to serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending June 7, 2012.

  • Michael Mark Wasicsko, of Highland Heights, is the dean of the College of Education and Human Services at Northern Kentucky University.  He represents deans of colleges.  The appointment replaces Charles S. Evans.

Gov. Beshear has appointed David B. Stevens to the Personnel Board to serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Jan. 1, 2013.

  • David B. Stevens, of Lexington, is a retired orthopedic surgeon.  The appointment replaces John T. Dunaway, who has resigned.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Parole Board to serve for terms expiring June 30, 2010.

  • Joanie Abramson, of Versailles, is retired.  The appointment replaces Hazel M. Combs.
     
  • Thomas S. Whetstone, of Louisville, is a self-employed criminal justice consultant.  The appointment replaces Marc A. Wessel.
