FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Steve Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Agriculture Water Quality Authority to serve for terms expiring Oct. 1, 2012.

  • James S. Dinger, of Nicholasville, is a geologist and head of the Water Resource Section at the University of Kentucky. He represents the Kentucky Geological Survey. The appointment replaces Stephen Fisher, whose term has expired.
     
  • Patrick Gilbert, of Harlan, is the acting director of the Division of Environmental Services for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. He represents the Department of Agriculture. The appointment replaces Charles B. Skipper, whose term has expired.
     
  • Amanda Gumbert, of Lexington, is an extension water quality liaison for the University of Kentucky. She represents the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service. The appointment replaces Stephen R. Workman, whose term has expired.
     
  • David W. Rowlett, of Carrollton, is a power plant production supervisor for Kentucky Utilities. He represents the Kentucky Association of Conservation Districts. The appointment replaces James R. Lacy, whose term has expired.

The governor has reappointed Joseph Larry Thomas to the authority to serve for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2012.

  • Joseph Larry Thomas, of Elizabethtown, is the owner and operator of BLT farms.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the State Board of Physical Therapy.

  • Charles M. Clark Jr., of Louisville, is a physical therapist and group director for Physiotherapy Associates. The appointment replaces Troy L. Grub, whose term has expired. Clark shall serve for a term expiring Jan.1, 2011.
     
  • Estela Valdez, of Louisville, is a physical therapist at University Hospital. The appointment replaces Kristie Denise Cochrane, whose term will expire. Valdez shall serve for a term expiring April 30, 2013. This appointment is effective May 1, 2009.

The governor has reappointed the following members to the board.

  • Margaret J. Blain, of Louisville, is a rehabilitation manager at SeniorCare. Blain shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2011.
     
  • Ronald J. Barbato, of Danville, is a physical therapist at Ephraim McDowell Health. Barbato shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2012. 
     
  • Virginia Johnson, of Morning View, is a retired teacher. She represents citizens at large. Johnson shall serve for a term expiring April 30, 2013. This appointment is effective May 1, 2009.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Michael Masters to My Old Kentucky Home Advisory Commission to serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Aug. 15, 2010.

  • Michael Masters, of Bardstown, is a caterer with the Chapeze House Catering Company. The appointment replaces Geraldine B. Simpson, who is deceased.

Gov. Beshear has appointed William A. Reisert IV to the Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Authority to serve for a term expiring Jan. 4, 2011.

  • William A. Reisert IV, of Louisville, is the president of Reisert Insurance. He shall serve as vice-chair of the authority. The appointment replaces Tom Baxter, whose term has expired.

The governor has reappointed George W. Ginter to the board to serve for a term expiring Jan. 4, 2011.

  • George W. Ginter, of Lexington, is an anesthesiologist at Commonwealth Anesthesia. He shall chair the authority.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Oyo Fummilayo to the Kentucky Developmental Disabilities Council to serve for the unexpired term ending July 16, 2009.

  • Oyo Fummilayo, of Nicholasville, is an instructional assistant for the Danville Public Schools. The appointment replaces Anne M. Maxfield, who has resigned.
