Governor Ernie Fletcher and the Governor’s Office for Local Development (GOLD) announced today two Area Development Fund (ADF) grants of $9,491.46 for the Kentucky Regional Planning and Development Agency (KIPDA) to distribute to communities in its region. The grants will be used for the Oldham County Fiscal Court and the Trimble County Ambulance Building.

The Oldham County Fiscal Court will use their Area Development Fund grant to purchase new audio- visual equipment for the meeting facilities.  The Trimble County Fiscal Court will be using the funds to continue developing the Trimble County Ambulance Building.

“These state funds are being utilized for important and worthy projects in Kentucky’s Area Development Districts,” Gold Commissioner Ellen Williams remarked.  “I am always pleased when the state can step up to assist in meeting the needs of communities.”

The Area Development Fund is a state-funded program that provides financial support to local governments for capital projects.   These state-allocated dollars allow communities to engage in project activities that they may not otherwise afford and ensure a high-quality of life for Kentucky citizens.  The ADF program is administered by the Governor’s Office for Local Development (GOLD).
