FRANKFORT, Ky.—The pension benefits for future public employees workgroup of the Blue Ribbon Commission on Public Employees Retirement Systems will meet on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. in Room 129 of the Capitol Annex. The meeting is open to the public.

This workgroup is examining the needs of future employees for security and flexibility in planning for retirement in the context of the commonwealth’s ability to sustain those benefits going forward. It is chaired by Personnel Cabinet Secretary Brian J. Crall. Members of the committee are: Bob Arnold, Kentucky Association of Counties; Robert C. Brown, Kentucky Public Employees’ Deferred Compensation Authority; William P. Hanes, Kentucky Retirement Systems: Gary Harbin, Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System; Lee A. Jackson, Kentucky Association of State Employees; and James E. Parsons, governor’s fiduciary appointee.
