Frankfort, Ky. ­ The Kentucky Department of Revenue will hold a special examination on Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, for prospective candidates for the office of Property Valuation Administrator (PVA) for Kenton, Powell, and Robertson counties.  The PVA’s in these counties retired Aug. 31, 2008.

The exam will be given in Frankfort at 501 High Street, training rooms A1 & A2. It will begin at 9:00 a.m. EST.  Persons who pass will be eligible for appointment to serve as PVA until the next general election in November 2010.

Applicants must be at least 24 years of age at the time of the election or appointment, a citizen of Kentucky, having resided in the state for at least two (2) years, and be a resident of the county from which they are seeking election for at least one (1) year prior to the election or appointment.  Applicants must have a valid driver’s license or other photo ID with a recent picture.
