Fire Marshal Investigating Fatal Mt. Sterling Fire

      The Kentucky State Fire Marshal’s Office has responded to the scene of a house fire in Mt. Sterling. According to initial reports, four people have died in the blaze, which broke out late this morning.

     Deputy Fire Marshal C.W. Cornett has begun an investigation into the fire’s cause and origin. He is joined by Shane Barnes, an investigator from the Morehead post of the Kentucky State Police.

    The State Fire Marshal’s Office is part of the Public Protection Cabinet.
