Public Cautioned to Throw Away Suspect Peanut Butter
Peanut Butter Flyer
FRANKFORT, KY - - Federal and state officials in Kentucky are cautioning the public to throw away any packets of peanut butter that may be found in emergency meals received at a distribution point or shelter. This is part of a precautionary national recall.
At this time no one has been reported sick as a result of the suspect peanut butter.
This recall in no way disrupts the distribution of supplies to citizens affected by the recent ice storm.
Flyers are now being sent to distribution points and shelters throughout the affected region warning recipients of the recall.
Citizens are further advised to only discard the peanut butter from any meals that may contain it.
