KENTUCKY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT RECOGNIZES OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES
FRANKFORT, Ky. (Oct 12, 2011) - Recently Kentucky Emergency Management (KYEM) recognized two local employees for outstanding performance.
Regina Riggs and Jessica Mitchell-Jones were each awarded the Department of Military Affairs "Outstanding Performance Award" at the DMA Annual Picnic Awards Ceremony.
Riggs is a part of the executive staff and is the KYEM Information Manager.
She oversees the Information Technology Enterprise Architecture Management System (ITEAMS) and KYEM's SharePoint - both information technology systems.
Riggs has been with KYEM for two years.
Mitchell-Jones is the public assistance officer in the KYEM Recovery Branch, which oversees FEMA disaster grants awarded to government and non-profit organizations for rebuilding after federally declared disasters.
Mitchell-Jones has been with the division for three years.
KYEM Director John Heltzel offered high praises for both, "I am very pleased to recognize their efforts and commitment. Their dedication and
professionalism is outstanding."
