WHAT:  National Level Exercise 2011 Workshop

           Kentucky Emergency Management will hold a workshop for Commonwalth Emergency Responders and Kentucky National Guard to brief and coordinate planning efforts on the upcoming 2011 National Level Exercise (NLE 11), which will be hosted by Kentucky and held May 16 - 20.  The NLE 11 is a federal Tier I exercise based upon a catastrophic earthquake in the New Mardrid Sesimic Zone.

Several states and federal agencies, including the White House, will participate and test
response capabilities, communications and emergency plans. 

This workshop is an ongoing training and planning effort leading up to the NLE 11.  Kentucky's overall objective is to build from the lessons learned to rewrite the Commonwealth Catastrophic Earthquke Response Plan.
