Becky Carter Promoted to District 14 P&P Supervisor
Frankfort, Ky. (June 3, 2008) – Kentucky Department of Corrections Director of Probation & Parole Lelia “Lee” VanHoose today announced that Becky Carter has been promoted to District 14 Supervisor. The district includes Lincoln, Garrard, Jessamine, Woodford, Scott, Bourbon, Harrison, Nicholas, and Pendleton counties. “I am very pleased and excited to announce the promotion of Rebecca “Becky” Carter to District 14 District Supervisor,” said VanHoose. “Intelligence, common sense, integrity, determination with a big dose of spunk and true grit describes Ms. Carter. I look forward to her addition to our upper level leadership team and the contributions she will make in the months ahead.” Originally from Clay County, Carter graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in corrections and juvenile services. She started her career with Juvenile Justice in 1996, working as a Youth Counselor at the London Group Home. Carter began work with the Division of Probation and Parole in 1999 as an officer for District 9. She transferred to District 14 in 2001 working out of the Lancaster Office. In 2007 Carter was promoted to Assistant Supervisor of the district. Carter lives in Garrard County with her husband, Greg, and seven-year-old daughter, Abby.
