DOC Employee Arrested

Frankfort, KY – A Luther Luckett Correctional Complex employee was arrested by Oldham County Sheriff’s Department at approximately 9:30 a.m today.  Rebecca Hatcher was charged with sexual abuse in the second degree and official misconduct. 

Hatcher was a correctional officer at Luther Luckett Correctional Complex in LaGrange where she has been employed for 2 ½ years.

After a three week internal investigation,  Warden Tom Dailey felt there was enough evidence to warrant outside charges for Hatcher’s involvement with an inmate.  “We have zero tolerance on this issue,” said Commissioner John D. Rees.

The Kentucky Department of Corrections has a strict policy against any sexual involvement with inmates by staff (CPP 3.22-Staff Sexual Misconduct).  In addition, Kentucky Revised Statute 510.120 clearly defines “sexual abuse in the second degree”.
