Kentucky Correctional Industries Launches New Website
Kentucky Correctional Industries (KCI) in partnership with Kentucky.gov has updated its online presence with a stylish new website. The re-designed website at www.kci.ky.gov showcases the vast and diverse KCI product line ranging from printing services, an assortment of furniture including traditional items, office seating, as well as institutional lines. KCI also has a full line of cleaning products and a wide selection of apparel that can be customized with embroidery or screen printing. “Excitement would be an understatement when describing the launch of our new website,” said Yvonne Board, KCI Sales Branch Manager. “The website will not only provide our current customer base with an easier ordering process, but it will also open the door to new sales opportunities.” KCI currently employs 919 inmates in 24 operations in Kentucky’s state prisons. KCI is a self-supporting division of the Kentucky Department of Corrections. “It’s extremely gratifying that this website will allow us to communicate our message better and show a broader range of products offered,” said KCI Director Tom Cannady. “This is all part of our overall mission of employing and training state inmates while they develop marketable job skills that benefit our communities by reducing recidivism and lowering the financial commitment in maintaining the commonwealth’s institutions.” The KCI showroom, located at 1041 Leestown Road in Frankfort, is open to the public.
