Heather Meredith Promoted to District 5 Assistant Supervisor in Division of Probation & Parole
Kentucky Department of Corrections Director of Probation & Parole Tim Carman today announced the promotion of Heather Meredith to assistant supervisor of District 5 in Elizabethtown. District 5 has two field offices in Shepherdsville and Leitchfield and covers six counties including Breckinridge, Bullitt, Grayson, Hardin, Hart and Meade. Meredith will assume her new duties Feb. 1.
“Heather has demonstrated adaptability and initiative in her various roles in the division,” said Carman. “She possesses the leadership mentality that we will need as we move forward with key initiatives such as enhanced programming and reentry.”
Meredith began her career with the Department of Corrections in June 2007 as a probation and parole officer in Elizabethtown. During her time with the department, she has been a supervision officer overseeing a caseload in Hardin County. She has also taken on additional tasks to include training staff on the use of the new Level of Service/Case Management Inventory (LS/CMI) assessment tool. Due to Meredith’s work ethic and dedication, she received the 2011 District 5 Employee of Year award for 2011.
