Emily Goins Promoted to New Parole Inter-state Compact Program Administrator in Division of Probation & Parole
Kentucky Department of Corrections Director of Probation & Parole Roberto Rodriguez today announced that Emily Goins will be promoted to the new parole inter-state compact program administrator for the division. She will assume her new duties Jan. 16.
Goins began her career with the Division of Probation and Parole in 2002 as a felony supervision officer in District 16. In 2004 she transferred to District 4 where she served as the Jefferson County Circuit and District Court liaison officer and post-sentence investigation officer. In 2008 she transferred to District 12 where she served as the pre-sentence investigation officer for Shelby and Spencer counties. In 2009, she was promoted to assistant district supervisor for District 4, where she also served on the Louisville Mayor’s Mental Health Diversion Review Board and the Louisville Metro Reentry Task Force. She transferred to the assistant district supervisor position in District 14 in 2012, where she served on various committees and served as the District 14 interstate compact coordinator. Throughout her career, she has served as a probation and parole adjunct training instructor for the Division of Corrections Training as well as firearms instructor for the division.
Goins is a graduate of Berea College where she earned a bachelor’s degree in history.
