Kentucky Department of Corrections Deputy Commissioner Kim Potter-Blair today announced the promotion of Brigid Adams to Re-entry Branch Manager for the Department. She has served as the Interim Branch Manager since April 2011. Adams assumed her new duties on Nov. 1.

“Brigid has played a vital role in the Department's vision with re-entry,” said Potter-Blair. “She understands the challenges the Department faces and what it takes to get the job done. She is a true asset to our leadership team.”

Prior to this promotion, Adams served as an Internal Policy Analyst III. Since 2004, she also served as the grant manager for all federal, state and foundation awards to the Department, where she was responsible for not only exploring grant opportunities but also complete grant management from the development of proposals and applications to ongoing financial and programmatic reporting.

Adams graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bellarmine University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and communications. She continued her education at Indiana University where she earned her Master’s degree in business administration.
