Brian McGuire Promoted to Administrative Section Supervisor in Property Section

Department of Corrections Deputy Commissioner Kim Potter-Blair today announced the promotion of Brian McGuire to Administrative Section Supervisor of the Property Section. McGuire assumed his new duties on March 16.

“I am very pleased to be able to promote Brian,” said Potter-Blair. “He is a dedicated and hardworking employee who is very deserving of this promotion.”

McGuire began his career with the Department of Corrections in April 1997 as a correctional officer at Roederer Correctional Complex (RCC). While at RCC, he also worked as a farm crew leader. In May 2006 McGuire was promoted to property officer II at RCC and in January 2007 he transferred to central office. He was again promoted to property officer supervisor in December 2007.

McGuire is a 2008 graduate of Kentucky State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He is also the recipient of the 2010 Deputy Commissioner’s Award.
