The Kentucky Department of Corrections has created a blog on the Corrections Home page to enable employees that are deployed on active duty to stay connected with friends and family back home. The blog will allow DOC employees, as well as other friends and family, the opportunity to leave words of encouragement and appreciation for our staff who are serving in the military.

“The new blog page is an important tool that will make it possible for us to keep in touch with our service men and women,” said Department of Corrections Commissioner LaDonna Thompson. “This endeavor is in direct keeping with the Governor’s 11-11-11 initiative to show support for our troops in the field.”

The new veteran’s blog page may be accessed at the following address: http://corrections.ky.gov/about/Pages/DeployedEmployeesBlog.aspx  Employees are encouraged to participate by emailing their comments to doc4vets@ky.gov . All submissions will be review prior to being posted on the blog page.
