Two Inmates Walk Off From Minimum-Security Prison

FRANKFORT, KY - Jonathan Frank Davis and Earl Thomas Newhouse,  two inmates assigned to the Bell County Forestry Camp, walked away from a fire detail assignment in Pine Mountain on Saturday evening, April 1.  Both inmates were confirmed missing at approximately 8:50 p.m. 

 

Davis was serving a 15 year sentence for convictions out of Fayette County for robbery in the 2nd degree (2 counts).  He would have been eligible for parole in April 2008.  Davis is a 28-year-old white male, 6’1”, 205 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.  He has a scar on his left cheek.

 

Newhouse was serving a 5 year sentence for convictions out of Jefferson County for burglary in the 2nd degree, criminal mischief in the 1st degree, theft by unlawful taking and fraudulent use of a credit card.  He would have been eligible for parole in June of 2006.  Newhouse is a white male, 6’1”, 190 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.  Newhouse has numerous tattoos and scars on his right hand and elbow.
