Dexter Named General Counsel For Commerce Cabinet
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Commerce Secretary Marcheta Sparrow announced today that William R. Dexter will be the cabinet’s general counsel.
Dexter spent the last 26 years at the Owensboro firm of Sullivan, Mountjoy, Stainback and Miller, P.S.C., where he worked in business and real estate law.
Dexter is a University of Kentucky College of Law graduate, a Leadership Kentucky graduate and served as an assistant district governor for Rotary International. He and his wife Shirley have two grown daughters.
The Commerce Cabinet is made up of 15 agencies related to tourism, arts and heritage.
