FRANKFORT, Ky. (April 29, 2005) --- Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed Shawn Crouch as executive director of the Office of Certificate of Need, effective immediately.

Crouch, who currently serves as the executive officer for Health in the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, replaces John Gray, who has announced his retirement.

Crouch has served as executive officer for Health since February 2004. His previous healthcare experience includes positions with the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center and CHA Health.

“I am extremely pleased to have someone with Mr. Crouch’s experience and skills to head up this office,” said Undersecretary for Health Mark Birdwhistell.
