Earth Day/Energy Star Grant Deadline Extended

FRANKFORT, Ky. - The deadline for Earth Day / ENERGY STAR Change a Light, Change the World campaign grants has been extended to March 15, 2007.

Schools, colleges and universities (public and private) and organizations including scouting groups, 4-H clubs, municipalities and other non-profit groups and organizations are encouraged to apply for competitively awarded $350 mini-grants. The grants can be used for Earth Day 2007 activities featuring the ENERGY STAR Change a Light, Change the World campaign.

Applicants are encouraged to use the mini-grant funds to partner with others in their community to increase the number of Kentuckians who take the Change a Light pledge and change their world — one light at a time.
