Announcement will be first of it’s kind
 
Frankfort, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher will make a major international equine announcement Thursday at the Kentucky Horse Park. The historic announcement will take place in the media tent (next to the Steeplechase Barn) during the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event. Governor Fletcher will be joined by representatives from the FEI Games, the world equestrian championships, the United States Equestrian Federation and others.

NOTE: Due to large crowds and parking issues because of the Rolex event, please allow extra time for parking and set up.
Please bring proper media identification and mention you are covering Governor Fletcher’s press conference.

PARKING INFORMATION:

  1. Coming from the west, exit off of 1-75 and stay in the left hand lane, then into the left hand turn lane into the main Horse Park entrance.  Cars without credentials that get into the left hand lane are automatically routed into the Horse Park through the main gate.
  2. Coming from the east – Do not come in Iron Works Pike from Newtown Pike.   Instead, take Georgetown road to Berea road or Iron Works Pike main Horse Park entrance. This will bypass the Horse Park campground entrance.

All journalists must stop at the guard house to pick up their vehicle credentials after they have identified themselves for the press conference. 

Television trucks or radio vehicles clearly identified as same will be allowed to enter through the main Horse Park entrance from either direction on Iron Works Pike.
