Town Hall meeting will follow tour of tornado-damaged area

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher, Congressman Ed Whitfield and Adjutant General Donald C. Storm will visit Christian County Monday to tour tornado-damaged areas and speak with local officials and citizens impacted by last weekend’s severe weather and tornados.

Governor Fletcher, Congressman Whitfield and General Storm will arrive at Sinking Fork Elementary School in Hopkinsville at approximately 3 p.m. Central time, then tour storm damaged areas via helicopter.

Immediately following the tour, Governor Fletcher, Congressman Whitfield and General Storm will participate in a town hall meeting at Sinking Fork Elementary School. During the meeting, local officials and citizens will receive information on cleanup assistance.

“Last weekend’s storms in Christian County impacted many residents and businesses,” said Governor Fletcher. “Congressman Whitfield and I are dedicated to helping the citizens of Christian County recover from this natural disaster in every way we can.”
