Governor Ernie Fletcher Appoints Four to the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education

Frankfort, KY: Governor Ernie Fletcher has made four appointments to the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education. Phyllis Alany Maclin, Paducah; Kevin Wayne Canafax, Covington; Danny E. Flanagan, Campbellsville, and Alois McIntyre Moore, of Hazard, Kentucky, have all accepted commissions to serve terms on the KCPE.  The Council is tasked with coordinating changes and improvement in Kentucky’s postsecondary education system as directed by the 1997 Kentucky Postsecondary Education Improvement Act.

Phyllis Maclin is the Director of Special Services and Senior Administrative Assistant to the pastor of Washing Street Baptist Church in Paducah.  Mrs. Maclin is a graduate of Western Kentucky University.

Kevin Canafax is employed at Fidelity Investments as the company’s regional general manager in Covington, Kentucky.  He has his master’s degree from Xavier University in Ohio.

Danny Flanagan is a minister and farmer from Campbellsville and has degrees from Campbellsville College, Southern Baptist theological Seminary and the University of Louisville.  His degrees are in English, pastoral Counseling and Social Work.

Alois Moore is a businesswoman and realtor in Hazard, Kentucky.  Mrs. Moore graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in English.
