Frankfort, KY: Today, Governor Ernie Fletcher announced a series of public forums on his JOBS for Kentucky plan will be held in cities across the state. 

“I encourage everyone to attend one of these forums,” said Governor Fletcher. “The forums allow Kentuckians from all walks of life to talk about the need for tax reform.”

The first grouping of “town hall” type forums will be held between Monday, January 10th and Friday, January 14th.  A total of 13 will be held during the week; Governor Fletcher will be taking part in six of those.

Forums will be held on the campuses of the University of Louisville, Northern Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky and Western Kentucky Universities, Maysville Community and Technical College, Ashland Community College and in the cities of Murray, Elizabethtown, Henderson and Somerset.

“JOBS for Kentucky opens the door for the creation of thousands of new jobs.  It also will help build careers and provide new opportunities to people across our great Commonwealth,” added Governor Fletcher. 

The first public forum which Governor Fletcher will be attending will be held Monday, January 10th.  The forum will be held in the 2nd Floor Ballroom of the Northern Kentucky University Center on Nunn Drive from noon until 1:30 PM.
