Frankfort, KY:   Governor Ernie Fletcher underwent a colonoscopy in Lexington this morning.  The test went normally and revealed no sign of cancer or pre-cancerous changes.

Dr. Alberto Castellanos said, “No colon cancer or cancerous polyps were identified.  The screening was of routine nature.”

A transmittal letter was sent this afternoon transferring gubernatorial powers back to Governor Fletcher from Lieutenant Governor Steve Pence. 

Governor Fletcher temporarily transferred gubernatorial power to Lieutenant Governor Pence as the routine procedure involved sedation.
