Governor Reorganizes Executive Team

Frankfort, KY: Governor Ernie Fletcher is pleased to announce a new Chief of Staff as part of his executive team reorganization designed to continue to move Kentucky forward.  Stan Cave is the new Chief of Staff.  His transition into the position starts immediately.  
Cave is a Lexington lawyer with a distinguished record of public service and leadership in his community and the Republican Party.  Cave is a former Minority Floor Leader in the Kentucky House of Representatives and served in the General Assembly from 1993 to 2000.  Cave was also on Governor Fletcher's transition team. 
"Stan Cave is an outstanding individual," said Governor Fletcher.  "His intelligence and extensive experience with the General Assembly will help move our agenda forward and improve opportunity for all Kentuckians."
Cave said today "I am honored for the opportunity to serve the Governor and I look forward to getting to work for the people of this great Commonwealth."
Minority Floor Leader Jeff Hoover (R-Jamestown) said today "I am absolutely delighted in the excellent choice the Governor has made.  There is no person more qualified to be Chief of Staff." 
Republican Party of Kentucky Chairman John McCarthy said "Stan Cave is respected by all parties and is a consummate professional.  I think he'll do a fantastic job."
